Neighborhood Gem: Hyland Ponds Open Space

Neighborhood Gem: Hyland Ponds Open Space

For this edition of Neighborhood Gems I wanted to highlight an area that is fast becoming one of my favorite places to go for a walk with my dog Luna. The Hyland Ponds Open Space. Located in northern Westminster on Sheridan and 100th avenue, it’s an easily accessible location with a quiet neighborhood feel. You’re immediately greeted with a sense of serenity as the ponds give a calming aura. Having a bad day and need to escape for ten minutes? This is the spot to do it. Another thing that will keep me coming back is the people I’ve met while exploring the area. I tend to let Luna walk around off leash and people are either unbothered or make an unnecessary stink about it. Here though, everyone I’ve met has not only been extremely friendly but also very dog friendly. Perfect place to walk with young kids or even a new puppy! Nestled in between the Hyland green subdivision and the Hyland meadows subdivision I can see why there’s so many younger families walking around. The area is well priced and perfectly suited for a growing family or even a new one looking for a starter home! Homes in both the Hyland Green and Hyland Meadows subdivision range from the high 200’s to the high 300’s with a variety of home designs. Close to golf courses and shopping alike you really are able to get everything you want without having to go too far away from Denver. If you’re ever interested in seeing the home or even simply going for a walk around Hyland Ponds please let me know! Any excuse to explore this beautiful area!
